Home Decor

With all their negative publicity, the one thing that the we can count on from the Kardashians is their sense of style. Even in sweats, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney or even momager Kris have a keen since of fashion. In my spear time, I like to Google their home decor and WHOOO- AHHH at the details beautifully styled in each of their homes. I decided it would be fun to pick a few trendy pieces to adorn in my humble abode. http://latica-gringa.blogspot.com/2012/09/when-i-watch-kardashians-and-they-are.html
First up, my living; In the Jenner home, the living room is opened and intimate enough for family meeting conversations, or POWWOWS, as my dad called them. This is very important for our family as well since we like to spend as much time as possible with each other.

For the past two years, I have wanted to upgrade and redesign my apartment. Right now moving to a larger space is a little difficult to maneuver. Not a problem for us, we just have to use our creativity to make do.   I plan to re-purpose and reuse decor that I had as well as go on a hunt for new decor. First up my master bed, second I opted to style my daughters’ room and lastly, the living room.
Just because you are in a small space does not mean you cannot make it your own. Heck, in this new economy we have learned to conserve, reserve, and preserve. With our instant family, it has become necessary.

In each room started with covering those bland, all white apartment walls, YUCK! Painting is an option but can be a tedious and costly project when it is time to move, that is why I decided to add colorful artwork to hang on the walls. This option is easier to remove and go. Deposit, YES PLEASE! I just needed to change the position of older artwork and find not so pricey up to date options like photos of my favorite supermodels/divas. I like to search through Google or older magazine editorials for inspiration. Once you find a picture cut it out or print it and frame. Now, you have instant artwork to hang on a budget.

DO:
*Search old magazines for pictures that coordinate with the colors and theme of your room (Opt for vintage looks).
*Use colorful or empty frames to add a touch of character on those boring walls.

Don’t:
*Be afraid to be crafty and make your own artwork. Grab your camera phone and be inspired by the great outdoors. Find whimsical people, building or objects to photograph. You can easily print at home even at your local print shop and frame. BAMMM you got it. Then you can brag to all your friends how you made that one of a kind art piece.

Stay tuned. I promise to update you on my progress and give details on the final look.

xoxo,

Regina
